► CONFLICT MINERALS POLICY AT LOCATIS SA

The term 'conflict minerals' refers to the metals tin, tungsten, tantalum and gold, from the Democratic Republic of Congo and its neighbouring countries. These metals are also referred to as the 3TG. Trading 3TG from the Democratic Republic of Congo and its neighbouring states enables armed conflict and human rights abuses. The U.S. Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Customer Protection Act, Section 1502 and SEC regulations require disclosure of the use of 3TG and transparency within the supply chain. The idea behind this is to end armed conflicts and heed international law.

In line with the requirements of the Dodd-Frank Act, LOCATIS is aware of its responsibility and is contributing at various levels to sustainably protect human rights. LOCATIS is committed to ensuring the health, safety and protection of the people who extract and mine 3TG. It is our responsibility to demand high social, environmental and human rights standards from our suppliers, too. Even though LOCATIS is not directly affected by the Dodd-Frank Act, compliance with these requirements in relation to conflict minerals is an immediate part of it.

Although LOCATIS never buys 3TG directly from smelters and that is very difficult to trace back to the source, LOCATIS is committed to sourcing components exclusively from compliant smelters and to contribute to a conflict-free trade by encouraging its suppliers to use compliant melting sources.

► REACH

Locatis SA has incorporated into its corporate policy Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 concerning the registration, assessment and authorisation of chemical substances, as well as the restrictions applicable to these substances (REACH) and future amendments to the regulations.

Suppliers of components are required to provide us with all safety information on substances of high concern if they show a concentration level above the limit values. The components used by Locatis SA do not contain any of the substances of extreme concern mentioned in the Regulation, or else with a rate below the defined limit values.

However, the supply chain for electronic components is complex. It is therefore not always easy to determine with certainty whether the requirements are actually met. Consequently and in accordance with the information provided by our suppliers, the products manufactured by Locatis SA do not knowingly contain components that would not meet the Regulation.

We continually assess our obligations under this Regulation based on informations made available by our suppliers. In the event of unavoidable changes to the aforementioned information, we will update our documents and immediately inform the concerned customers.

► ROHS

Locatis SA undertakes to supply products that comply with the European Directive 2011/65/EU and 2015/863/EU as well as all amendments to the Directive: Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances (RoHS).

The RoHS Directive aims to limit the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.

Electronic components meeting the requirements of the RoHS Directive are recognised and identified as compliant when delivered. Locatis SA as user of these components relies solely on the indications given by its suppliers to ensure compliance with the requirements.

In accordance with the directive, we only provide our customers with fully RoHS certified products. However, the supply chain for electronic components is complex. It is therefore not always easy to determine with certainty whether the requirements are actually met. Therefore, according to the information provided by our suppliers, the products manufactured by Locatis SA do not knowingly contain components that would not meet the directive.

If the supply constraints of the components do not allow the directive to be met, Locatis SA undertakes to inform the customer immediately of the situation and the use of these components will only be carried out after validation of an exemption.
